Day 1: Welcome to Uganda! We'll pick you up from the airport and escort you to your hotel for some well-deserved rest.
Day 2: Begin your day with a briefing and breakfast at your hotel. Spend the day exploring Kampala's cultural sites, delving into Uganda's rich history and traditions.
Days 3-4: Journey through Masaka, Mpigi, and Gomba districts, tasting central Uganda's diverse cuisine. Enjoy local dishes like chicken and beef Luwombo, grasshopper, and white ants. Participate in harvesting cassava, sweet potatoes, and yams, and discover traditional fruit gathering. Experience the Buganda tribe's culture with traditional dance and attire. Along the way, marvel at natural landmarks like the equator and breathtaking lakes.
Days 5-6: Head to western Uganda, known as the "Switzerland of Africa," to experience traditional food harvesting and preparation in the Ankole culture. Witness traditional cattle rearing, milking, and the preparation of green bananas, sorghum, and eshabwe.
Day 7: Enjoy a relaxing day and visit the Tooro/Rwenzururu kingdom. Sample their unique cuisines and view the majestic Rwenzori Mountains.
Note: All cuisines are prepared in traditional ways, free from preservatives and cooking oils, offering a truly natural and local dining experience.
Day 1: Arrive in northern Uganda to savor the local delicacies and culture of the Luo/Acholi kingdom. Enjoy malakwang, a traditional dish, and the vibrant arakaraka dance.
Day 2: Travel to the Karamajong culture. Experience their unique culinary traditions, including dishes with animal blood, and explore their traditional Manyattas homes.
Day 3: Continue to Eastern Uganda, visiting the cultures of the Bamasaba, Basoga, and Atesot. Marvel at the scenery of Mount Elgon.
Day 4: In the Atesot region, taste local specialties like dried sweet potatoes (Amkeke) and enjoy their social lifestyles, including local brews and fruits.
Day 5: Visit the Bamasaba kingdom for their traditional dish, amalewa, and experience their welcoming culture and dances.
Day 6: Explore the Busoga kingdom, known for “Emboli” and “Amaidho”. Visit the source of the River Nile and immerse yourself in the local culture.
Day 7: Depart for the airport, carrying memories of the incredible Pearl of Africa.
Note: In Northern Uganda and parts of the Atesot region, culinary traditions include the use of clay pots, ensuring that all meals are prepared authentically. Enjoy organic foods and fruits throughout your journey.
